The natural market forces want prices to fall. The idiots in the gov. and fed. res. want prices to rise. The natural market want’s a stronger dollar, the idiots in the gov. and fed. res. don’t.

Let’s examine what would happen if prices fell, naturally, and the dollar got stronger.

Things would get cheaper. Items that aren’t selling well would start to sell. People that are unemployed or make very little will now have more purchasing power (stronger dollar). These are good things. As prices fall, and people save/spend/invest, you’ll quickly see things start improving. Unemployment will drop, businesses will be able to expand (as things will get cheaper for them too).

Yeah, that overpriced house you bought will most likely drop too. But if you are using it as a house and not an ATM, or trying to flip it, you don’t need to worry about it.

Falling prices and a stronger dollar will fix this economy. You can’t control a natural system without eventually trashing it, because it wants to do one thing, and you are trying to force it to do another.

I have tried to tell people, many many times, that we are in this mess because of the gov. and fed. res. They can not do what they are doing (ie, what got us here) to ‘fix’ the problem. It’s like asking the thief that robbed you to help find the thief that robbed you….
